An American Dentist paid $55,000 to kill Zimbabwe’s famous Lion

Cecil the lion, a famous black-maned resident of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, died at the hands of an American dentist, conservationists report.
They say Walter Palmer paid $55,000 to hunt and kill Cecil with a bow and arrow. The incident occurred around July 6, with a professional hunting outfit reportedly luring Cecil outside the boundaries of the protected reserve using a dead animal as bait.

After six months of hanging on the brink, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina has died at the age of 22.

She passed away in the hospice care facility where she’s been since June 24 when her family decided to take her off all meds.

Love scam: EFCC returns 10,000 Euros to French victim

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said on Thursday it has recovered and returned the sum of 10,000 Euros (about N2.25million), to F. Mercade, a French citizen, who was victim of internet love scam.

According to a statement issued by the Head of Media and Publicity of the commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the fund was wired to the victim through his account in France on the recommendation of the French Embassy in Nigeria.

Veteran actor Peter Bunor laid to rest

The remains of veteran actor, Peter Bunor who died earlier this month following protracted illness will be laid to rest today at his home-town, Ogwash-Uku in Delta State.

According to funeral arrangements released by the family, the Service of songs took place yesterday Friday, May 29, 2015 at his residence located along Dominion Hostel, through Nshiagu College, Delta State Polytechnic Road, Ogwash-Uku.
